Corporate responsibility

This is a key part of our culture, so expect it to become a big part of your working life here. From global initiatives to projects in our local communities, you will find plenty to get involved in. Just find the cause that inspires you, and then get busy making a difference.

Pro bono and volunteering

You will have lots of opportunities here to use your legal knowledge and other professional skills to give back to the local community. As well as providing legal advice, you could contribute your time and effort to causes such as:

An international charity which provides a programme of therapeutic recreation for children with serious illnesses and offers support at times of bereavement.

Together for sport

To make a more active contribution, you could support a number of sporting charities and clubs for disadvantaged or disabled children and young people in London.

Our involvement with the Southwark Education Business Alliance means that you could become a teaching volunteer for local school-run programmes.

Helping Hands Club

You could lend your time to this Southwark-based group for people with learning and physical disabilities – helping to support their Life Skills programme.

Our business is global, and so is our commitment to sustainability best practice. You will find countless ways to support our waste, energy and resource consumption aims – helping us make progress that matters wherever we work. Read our sustainability statement of commitment in full.

Charitable activities

We support a number of charities, and you will be encouraged to get involved by volunteering your time, fundraising or simply making a donation. As well as the Barretstown and Together for Sport charities discussed above, you could also get involved in The Unicorn Community Partnership – a partnership that provides free theatre tickets and a wide range of educational activities for young Londoners aged from 2 to 21.

Looking further afield, we take part in a wider global charitable initiative each year. In previous years colleagues across Norton Rose Fulbright have cycled across Texas and sailed across oceans to raise money for great causes. This year, we are taking on a canoeing challenge in Canada. Who knows where we will be when you join?

Diversity and inclusion

As you can see on our diversity and inclusion page, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can realise their full potential and career ambitions. One way you could get involved is by joining or helping to run one of our employee networks.

This is just a snapshot of our corporate responsibility work. For the overall picture, and to learn more about the many opportunities there will be for you to get involved and make a difference, download our global corporate responsibility brochure.
